When David returned home to bless his household, Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and said, “How the king of Israel has distinguished himself today, disrobing in the sight of the slave girls of his servants as any vulgar fellow would!" David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the Lord's people Israel—I will celebrate before the Lord. I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. But by these slave girls you spoke of, I will be held in honor.”
This scripture was different when God gave it to me. God showed me how the place you are supposed to get peace and get celebrated in can sometimes be the place where people have the most problems. When David got home he had a whole nation talking about how great he was and the person he had in his life to celebrate him was the only one that didn’t get why he did what he did. However, I learned something from David; even if the people that are supposed to have your back don’t, then you still praise God and praise him in their face, because sooner or later they will want to know what is it about your God that makes you feel the way you do. And, when they ask you how you can shout when I know you have all this other stuff going on, then you tell them you can get more undignified than this. So when people try to take your good day and make it a bad one, then you give God a undignified praise.
Love hard, worship harder, praise without limits.
