DAILY LOVE FROM HIM ABOVE

Matthew 6:31-33 (King James Version)
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

We all have needs and wants in our lives, and we spend so much time stressing about what is going on around us. Yet, I find myself returning to the scripture, Matthew 6:33 “but seek ye first.” We are quick to ask others for help and advice, but God seems to be the last person we talk to about our problems. We must decide to put it in God's hands. If we have messed things up so bad and things have gotten so much worse; when you see that you have things going on in your life that you know that you need help, seek first the kingdom of God. Make him your first choice, not a last result. Whatever you need, God has it. The scripture says if you seek him first “all these things will be added unto you.” This means all the things in verse 31 will be added unto you, but while you are waiting on him to give it to you, take peace in verse 32, because your heavenly father knows that you have need of all these things. It’s one thing for you to need something, but it’s another for you to need them and your daddy knows that you need them.

Three things you should do to hep deal with life while you're in need is to...

First
Recognize you have a need (verse 31)
Second
Realize you have to give it to God (verse 32)
Third
Reexamine who you are seeking\

DAILY LOVE FROM HIM ABOVE

Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

In life there are a lot of things that we are not sure of, but when we read Psalm 23:6, we know that SURELY goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our life. And, when I read this scripture this morning, it spoke to me in a whole new way. When I saw "goodness", it showed me that God is taking care of the good things that will happen in my life. When I saw "mercy", I thought about when I would have gotten some bad things to come to me, he sent mercy to plead my case.

So, it made me understand why things are working out like they are in our lives, because we don't have just goodness, we have mercy that will never run out. Thank God for his mercy, because we know that things are not as good as they should be, but thank God for his mercy that made sure we didn't get what we deserved to get. And, when it is all said and done, I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. When I get ready to run out of goodness and mercy, then I leave this earth to dwell in the house of the Lord.

DAILY LOVE FROM HIM ABOVE

1John 4:1 (The Message)
My dear friends, don't believe everything you hear. Carefully weigh and examine what people tell you. Not everyone who talks about God comes from God. There are a lot of lying preachers loose in the world.

There are a lot of people giving advice and telling you what they see coming into your life or know how you should live. However, when it is all said and done, take it to God and let him handle it or ask him if sent who you are talking to. The worst thing you can do is to get information about what you think you are supposed to be doing and find out that you are walking in some one else's destiny. God will make sure that you are ready to hear what he is saying and he will always follow it up with a confirmation. Listening to God is like ordering a package online you give them all your information, tell them what they want, but nothing matters until you get the confirmation email telling you that your order has been shipped and your tracking number. So, when you hear someone tell you what they say God told them about you, then if you not feeling it, stop and look for your confirmation. And, when you get that, then you know it’s from God.

DAILY LOVE FROM HIM ABOVE

Psalm 31:1-2

"In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness.Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me."

This is what I call a real moment with God. We go to God asking for things and try to make it pretty.Yet, I believe that it comes a point in all of our lives where we have to be real with God and tell him what we are thinking and what we really need. And, until we get to that point he wont move. We sometimes treat God as if he is one of our options, not the only option.

If you are going through something and you feel that you don’t know what to do or how it will work out, let me encourage you. God knows how it will end up and how it will turn around for you. So, give it to him and let him do what he does; and that’s be God. When you turn it over to him, ask for peace. Not just regular peace, but that “peace that passes all understanding.” The kind of peace where even you don’t know why you are not stressing about it. And, when you have that kind of peace, you will stop breathing and start living. Trade in your panic for peace and your stress for sleep.

DAILY LOVE FROM HIM ABOVE

Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

There are many times in life where we feel like we are alone. I am not talking about physically. I mean alone where there are people around you, but you still feel alone. I mean alone where you can talk to people, but it seems no one hears you. I mean alone where it seems like you are the only one that has ever dealt with what you are dealing with. Well, let me give you a word that God has given me. Keep yourselves in the love of God. Because, when you feel like you have to fight alone, God’s love will bring you back to a happy place. When you have to look for something to make you feel better, “look for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life."

I might not have much here, but I have some stuff stored up in heaven. My Daddy is loaded, so when I tell him about it and he sees that he can trust me with more, he will give it to me. The farthest you are ever away from a good day is a thought. Because, “When waves of affliction sweep o’er my soul and sunlight is hidden from view (not gone, just hidden from view) If ever you’re tempted to fret or complain JUST Think of his goodness. “

DAILY LOVE FROM HIM ABOVE

Ruth 1:16
"But Ruth replied, “Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God."

Are you living a life where people don’t want to leave you or are you living where people can’t wait to get away from you? Naomi lived a life that made her daughter-in-law not want to leave her, and not only did she not want to leave her, even when Naomi didn’t know what she was going to do, Ruth was still willing to follow her. I know you are asking yourself what does the have to do with the Daily Love, but I have learned that people really don’t care what you say anymore. I remember when you gave your word it meant something, but now things have changed. We don’t care what you say, we care what you are doing. So, you have to live the life that you talk about. That will make someone tell you, "no matter where you go, I am going with you. And, not only that, but I will make your God my God."
This is the scripture that changed my life and saved me, because I had to get to the point where I had to stop hearing about grandmomma’s God and momma's God and daddy's God, but I had to let him be MY God. I found my God from watching other people live a life to please their God. So, what I am saying is, live the life that makes it easy for someone else to tell you, "the God you serve.... I love him enough to make him my God, because I see how good he is to you, but I also see the change in you."

DAILY LOVE FROM HIM ABOVE

Proverbs 15:31-32
If you listen to constructive criticism, you will be at home among the wise. If you reject discipline, you only harm yourself; but if you listen to correction, you grow in understanding.

I once hear a Pastor say, "I am smarter now than I was when I knew it all." And, I didn’t get it then, but when I read these scriptures, it hit me. At the end of the day, if you knew it all, you wouldn’t be where you are and if you are happy where you are, it’s because you have learned to listen to people around you that have your best interest at heart. This was a hard thing for me to say, because I kept thinking about how many people you have to go through that don’t have your best interest in mind. You have fake people, liars, users, but, when you have gone pass them and you get someone in your life that means you good, listen to them. And, if you are the only one right, then you are wrong. I believe we hold on to people pass their season and anything you have out of season can kill you.
