Proverbs 15:31-32
If you listen to constructive criticism, you will be at home among the wise. If you reject discipline, you only harm yourself; but if you listen to correction, you grow in understanding.
I once hear a Pastor say, "I am smarter now than I was when I knew it all." And, I didn’t get it then, but when I read these scriptures, it hit me. At the end of the day, if you knew it all, you wouldn’t be where you are and if you are happy where you are, it’s because you have learned to listen to people around you that have your best interest at heart. This was a hard thing for me to say, because I kept thinking about how many people you have to go through that don’t have your best interest in mind. You have fake people, liars, users, but, when you have gone pass them and you get someone in your life that means you good, listen to them. And, if you are the only one right, then you are wrong. I believe we hold on to people pass their season and anything you have out of season can kill you.
