Extreme Makeover: New Year's Edition Day 6
Jeremiah 18:4
And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make.
As It Seemed Good for the Potter to Make
We've learned that we are clay. We are marred. Yet, we're in the hands of God. We choose to make 2011 better than 2010 by making every moment count.
The scripture says, "it seemed good for the potter to make." Which means it pleased him. You have to remember that as longing as you please God, it matters not who you may displease. Everyone won't agree with you. So people will be pleased with a marred vessel.
It was the same clay, just another vessel. This tells us we can use what we already have inside of us to make us better. When Christ blessed people in the Bible with miracles, He blessed them what was they had. At the wedding in Canaan, they had to fill pots with water in order of Jesus to turn the water into wine. Also, Jesus fed 5000 hungry souls with two fish and five loaves of bread from a little boy's lunch that was already there. So, know that whatever you have, it's enough for God to bless you with. Are you willing to bring it to Him?
We ask for more, but we don't even work with what God has given us.
DAILY LOVE FROM HIM ABOVE
